The Basic Principle in Community Health Nursing Care

The basic principle in Community Health Nursing Care is as follows: 
  1. The family is the primary unit in the ministry of public health.
  2. Targets consist of, individuals, families, groups and communities.
  3. Health nurse, working "with" the public, and not work "to" public.
  4. Nursing care that is given more emphasis on promotion and prevention efforts by not forgetting the curative and rehabilitative.
  5. Basic primary health care services is a problem-solving approach, as outlined in the nursing process.
  6. The main activities of society is health care in the community, and not in the hospital.
  7. The patient is the community as a whole, the sick and the healthy.
  8. Public health care is concerned with the development of healthy behavior.
  9. The purpose of public health care, are increasing functions of life so as to improve the health optimally.
  10. Public health nurses do not work alone but work in a team.
  11. Most of the time of a public health nurse used for activities that improve health, disease prevention, serve a healthy society or a sick, sick people who do not go to health centers, patients who had just returned from the hospital.
  12. Home visite is very important.
  13. Health education is the main activity.
  14. Health care services society, must refer to the existing health care system.
  15. Implementation of nursing care performed in the clinic health care institutions, institutions such as schools, homes, and others in which the family as a unit of service.
